Myoporum platycarpum. This name has gone into English as 'ngural', Stone [gnurrel], Hartmann for Werkaya [ngural], Smyth 1878 II:172 . (Ed. - note there are different language words for 'dogwood' and 'dogwood gum'. Ngurrel is also known in English as 'false sandlewood' and 'sugar tree' referring to its smell when burnt and the 'manna' collected as a bush tucker. The sap or resin has also been reported as being used to bind axe handles to axe heads.)
